In Person Therapy Available

Next available Tuesday, Dec 6th

As a counsellor I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental, empathetic space so you can safely explore challenges and beliefs that are limiting your personal well-being and relationships. Everyone is unique so timing, therapies and techniques are woven into sessions depending on your individual needs. Counselling can support you to find clarity, understand your actions/reactions, identify your strengths, resources, goals and workable solutions and above all, find hope to move forward more positively. My personal interest and therefore professional development has focused  on mindful somatic approaches when working with trauma memory. Trauma can be from  physical (e.g. accident/abuse) and/or emotional (e.g. grief/relationships) distress and can be a single event or accumulating. Trauma work can help when past events affect you everyday, in ways such as your confidence, your reactions and your relationships with others.  I find integrating trauma understanding with talk therapies invaluable with all clients. Counselling is available for individuals, couples, families or small groups. Either in person or online. Registered for WINZ counselling subsidy -available for community card holders When counselling can help : -Emotional distress- stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, self-esteem etc. -Relationships – couple, families, parenting, work place etc. -Trauma - abuse, grief, developmental relationships, accidents, PTSD etc. -Life transitions - relationship breakups, work changes, personal loss, etc. -Diversity-physical disabilities, neuro (e.g. ADHD), sexual identity, cultural etc. I look forward to walking beside you on your journey.
