Biography

Abby is a registered Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working in a collaborative and warm manner. She has experience working with anxiety difficulties, depression, self-criticism, clinical perfectionism, assertiveness training, and relationship difficulties. Alongside her private work, she has an active practice in adult community mental health. She draws from the following evidence-based approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Analytic Informed Therapy. Having a foot in two worlds (Aotearoa NZ and her Malaysian Chinese heritage), Abby is culturally sensitive to the psychological nuances of different backgrounds and incorporates this into her practice.
