Biography

I have always been passionate about working with and helping other people, and I truly believe that change is evoked through a healthy collaboration between the client and counsellor. Through the relationships with my clients, I aim to help them learn to better balance their emotions and cope with the small and large stresses of life. I fully believe in the capacity of change and understand that everyone at times is subject to the whims of a randomly cruel universe. I hope to help my clients realize that although life happens to all of us, that does not mean it has to stop. I strive to be an agent of positive change in the lives of others as I help my clients reach the optimum state of mental health and well-being that each unique individual is capable of achieving. I strive to help clients learn to examine their thoughts, feelings, attitudes, values and behaviors and provide a place for them to grow and change in positive ways. My main focus revolves around challenging distorted thinking, relationships and trauma recovery. An essential aspect to well-being is our ability to look within, perceive the mind, and reflect on our experiences. These skills can help you “grow through what you go through” and learn to align your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to set yourself up for wellness. I believe that no one knows the client better than themselves and no one client is the same. Therefore, my practice is person-centered, growth-oriented and tailored to each client's unique needs. I want to offer you the opportunity to explore the essence of who you are and create a life of deeper meaning with a richer and more understandable internal world.
