Online Therapy

I am a clinical psychologist with over 16 years of experience in mental health and private practice. I have worked with children and their families, adolescents and adults with a wide range of issues. I have an interest in anxiety and trauma and followed these interests after the Christchurch quakes with local community and school presentations and conferences. I have undergone additional trauma training here, and internationally to respond to the increase need in the city over the past decade. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) which is a first line treatment for trauma and has been shown to be generally a quick and an effective intervention. I have also been trained in Comprehensive Behavior Intervention for Tics and have attended and presented at Camp Twitch (for people with Tourettes). I am able to offer telepsychology sessions via Zoom or My personal style is relaxed and I believe kindness and compassion are essential therapeutic (and life) skills.
