Biography

I am a qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor and a member of NZAC. I have been in private practice for the past 20 years. I am also a registered Social Worker. Working with individuals, young adults, and adolescents, I provide a confidential service and follow the code of ethics of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers. I have experience in working with a wide range of emotional challenges including Sensitive Claims for ACC, clients with depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma and relationship difficulties and other general real life issues. I have been privileged to work with the students at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design as part of the Pastoral Care programme providing counselling services. I also have extensive experience in Advance Care or "End of Life"planning. I am very passionate about assisting clients to overcome their difficulties. The reason I decided on the name Real Life Counselling is because in life "stuff" happens - marriage, divorce, children, miscarriage, illness, death, and many other events along the way. I am available via Zoom or Skype and have assisted many clients overseas and throughout NZ via online sessions.
