Biography

『 I only offer on-line and non-emergency counselling via Microsoft teams. Please contact me through emails. 』 I register with NZ psychologist board as a counselling psychologist and have been practicing psychology for 8 years. I provide individual and couple therapy for adult clients. My individual work involves CBT, MBCT, ACT, Body and emotions work, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and tries to meet your needs in both brief or long-term counseling. I have completed Emotionally-Focused Couple Therapy training in NZ, which informs my work from relational lens and better equips me to work with your emotions in a safe and effective way. As a migrant, my journey enriches me with multicultural perspectives. I would like to walk alongside you to listen and understand your story from various backgrounds. Mandarine counselling I also provide. I value EAP services because work is crucial to healthy human life. I have a plethora of study and work experiences in different settings and disciplines, which help my understanding of adaptation process to organizations. Before coming to NZ, I have worked in a secondary school as a guidance counsellor, case worker for dementia patients and their families, and as a counselling psychologist in a community counselling center. I have a BA in economics and have worked in banks. Later on, I acquired a MS in psychology in Taiwan and a MA in counselling in USA. Luckily enough, I also acquired a postgraduate certificate in information technology in Auckland University. Work can motivate us to move forward with the great inspiration for a beautiful life while it can also burden us with issues in the workplace. I help clients manage conflicts between co-workers , cope with anxiety in schools, setting appropriate goals in work, and make career choices in my private practice in NZ. One of my client commented that his 1st session was more helpful than the previous therapy he had. This affirms me that empathic attunement is the gateway to clients’ wellbeing and conducive to coping strategy building. I look forward to working with you and expanding my service to more clients needing support in work and life.
